Ahead of the opening of Geneva Watch Days (GWD 2022), independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. has previewed a new product. It is a new tourbillon model added to the Streamliner collection launched in 2020 and the first gold bracelet version.
Inspired by the streamliner of the high-speed trains of the early 20th century, the collection’s signature cushioned case and integrated bracelet design are unmistakably the case. The overall diameter of the case made of red gold is 40mm and 12.1mm thick, the same as the previous three-hands version, the Streamliner Center Seconds. The one-piece gold bracelet that falls in a flowing curve along with the three-dimensional gold links wraps around the wrist to ensure an excellent fit.
The black openwork dial also catches the eye. Instead of using the usual black lacquered dial, the dial has a special black coating based on Carbon Nanotubes named Vantablack®. Vanta Black is known as the darkest black among blacks, and has been mainly used for military camouflage and in the field of astrophysics. It is said to absorb 99.965% of light, and H. Moser & C. has already launched models with the dial in several collections. The brand logo print is omitted on the very deep and dark black dial reminiscent of the abyss of space, continuing the tradition of Moser’s so-called Concept design, which stands out for its unique minimalism. Meanwhile, in the center of the gold hands, a state-of-the-art luminous paint named Globolight®, which is very durable and bright, was hardened and attached in the form of an insert.
At 6 o’clock on the dial, an in-house automatic tourbillon caliber HMC 804 is beating vigorously, exposing a one-minute flying tourbillon cage that rotates once per minute with a skeleton bridge. The HMC 804 caliber, vibrating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), has a power reserve of about 3 days, and the sapphire crystal caseback allows you to admire the unique movement with a red gold rotor made of the same material as the case.fake watches
The Streamliner Tourbillon Vanta Black (Ref. 6804-0400) will be released as a regular model rather than a limited edition, but due to the brand’s nature, production is expected to be limited during the year. The retail price is 109,000 Swiss Francs (CHF), or about 150 million won in Korean Won.
